The block heat exchangers

The block heat exchangers of CED are units based on Graphilor 3 (ultra fine grain graphite). They are the outcome of over 30 years of experience and improvements, backed up by over 10,000 units in service in more than 50 countries.

Graphilor 3 tubes

are manufactured by the extrusion of fine-grain primary carbons, which has improved their homogeneity and texture. These properties have again been improved by the new and exclusive curing and graphitising processes developed by Carbone Lorraine CED. Finally, original impregnation processes provide Graphilor 3 tubes with their seal, their final mechanical properties and their resistance to temperature and corrosion.
