Skyline has successfully provided a much needed service to importers and retailers by co-ordinating all of the various complex functions of many factories and component suppliers through one single channel in india .our customers buy their goods direct from the manufacturing factories with no third party in between. This gives our customers the benefit of the best possible price for the product. Goods can be supplied c&f or fob indian port or ex-factory via customers nominated forwarder. Goods are invoiced direct to customers by the factories involved. Buying direct from the manufacturer is a very attractive option when considering the first cost price of the shoes. However, experience has shown time and again that this arrangement is full of potential problems, risks and additional costs for the customer unless someone in india is actively ensuring that all of the customers sampling requirements, labelling requirements, quality requirements and despatch dates are being co-ordinated and controlled in one place on behalf of the customer. It is often the case that orders are spread amongst more than one factory in order to take advantage of the special skills and different price structures required to produce a complete range of footwear. Skyline undertakes the identification, selection and control of the various manufacturers used in production and co-ordinates sampling , material identification and sourcing of material and packaging/labels in addition to monitoring the actual production of the shoes and final inspection of the goods. Skyline is paid by the factories for their services in exactly the same way as any other supplier of goods or services to the manufacturer.
