He has chosen to work with hand woven natural fiber fabrics and travels extensively in his search for the skilled weavers.
Ghanshyam Sarode, Textile Designer uses the country's varied and intricate skills, weaves and textures with brilliant effect on fusion ensembles, and traditional Indian Sarees such as Dhaka' Jamdanis, Pure Jari Uppada Sarees, Brocade Paithani Sarees. He created the new brand i.e., UPPADA SAREES, Now it is famous and popular as Kanjivaram sarees which is more costlier.
His designed pure jari Uppada sarees and Paithani sarees and Cotton Jamdani sarees are well known to elite personalities in India and abroad. He had four extremely successful exhibitions of Paithani Sarees in USA .He traveled overseas on several occasions like textile fairs and visited textiles museums in UK, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Indonesia and Korea.

1. Uppada Sarees: In recent years Uppada's soaring popularity has led people to back track to its root learn about the creation process of this sarees. The fabric itself is hypnotic. One can stare at the intricacy of the motifs for hours and still be unable to grasp the amount of patience, work and time needed to create it.
During early 19th century the production of expensive jamdani suffered set back. The most important cause of decline and the ultimate extinction of the Jamdani industry was the industrial revolution in England, which introduced modern inventions in manufacture machine-made Jamdani with the support of jacquard and soon it began to capture the world market for jamdani.
2. Paithani Sarees: Royal charm & Woven dreams, unparalleled design, motif and craftsmanship add to the legacy of Paithani sarees. Paithani is an art of traditional handloom textile creation in finest mulberry silk, gold and silver zari, arresting colours and intricate designs and motifs that one admires in museum as proud relics of bygone era.
A Paithani (also a royal family weave) sari in soft silk catches the eye. The designs themselves are recreated from the antique paitings of Ajanta, the royal rocades of the Nawabs of Bengal, Mugal architecture.
The process of embroidering these patterns is unique and involves all the four requisites of excellence; much time, patience, skill and mostly the wall of silk yarn is laid on the loom with the motif, drawn to actualize size, placed.
